ICAC releases latest cotton supply and demand forecast

International cotton prices steadied at around US$1/lb during January 2012, after decreasing for almost ten months. The main reasons behind this price stabilization seem to be the support provided by the Chinese government, via significant purchases from both domestic and foreign markets, and a wider improvement in demand for cotton.
