European committee recommends rejection of ACTA

The European Parliament’s International Trade Committee today recommended that the Parliament should reject the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) – an international agreement designed to clamp down on counterfeiting of goods and pharmaceuticals and to deliver greater copyright protection to creators in areas such as music, film and design.
