EDANA (European Disposable and Nonwovens Association) has released the programme and registration for the sixth edition of its National Research Academy (NRA), which will take place in April.
The event for R&D specialists will be held at the Hotel Riverton AB, in Gothenburg, Sweden, and will run from April 19-20, with the event being hosted by Swerea IVF.
According to EDANA, the NRA will offer valuable insights into the future of nonwovens while highlighting current studies and innovative developments across the industry.
The event will also bring together an interdisciplinary group of academics, students, researchers, scientists and engineers providing them with a forum to discuss the nonwovens sector.
Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA, said: “EDANA believes that innovative research and close connections between industry and academia are critical to the successful growth of the nonwovens and related industries, and the links created with both promising young students and established scientists will help to meet the needs of company’s R&D departments well into the future.
“The NRA promotes this fundamental understanding and knowledge of the science and technology of nonwoven fabrics, products and processes as well as related disciplines.”
In addition, the NRA programme will consist of more than 20 research papers with speaker from Europe, Asia and the Americas discussing: Modelling & Testing, Micro and nano fibre-based webs, advances in absorption technologies, sustainability, processing and product performance enhancement.
Included in the programme is a visit to the research facilities of Swerea IVF and Chalmers
University on the morning of April 19, with places limited to 50 visitors to ensure full access and engagement during the visit.
