Texworld will be welcoming about 650 companies from 28 countries this week, offering the latest trends in fabrics, clothing production and textile accessories.
Among the new exhibitors, special attention is paid to FCK – Fashion Centre Korea, seven exhibitors specialising in prints and functional textiles from the Daegu region with a centuries-old tradition in textiles. The FCK’s aim is to help its members with a strong potential for growth to develop internationally, according to organizers Messe Frankfurt.
From Vietnam there is Thaï Tuan, one of the main national textile suppliers specialising in the production of jacquards and employing infrastructures said to be at the cutting edge of technology. Its products have been acknowledged for several years running as “the best quality from Vietnam” and have been given several ISO certifications.
Exhibitor, India-based Bharat Silks produces high quality silks used by major ready-to-wear fashion houses. Mr Ankit, marketing manager, said: “We have been exhibitors at Texworld from the start. We’ve only missed the September 2009 show, as we were of the opinion that the international economic situation was not conducive to business. But we are returning full of confidence
The Chinese, Pakistani, Thai and Mauritian pavilions are presenting some of their major exhibitors, thus providing a grouping by country. Similarly, the Lenzing Pavilion will include exhibitors that use its products; just as the HKTDC – Hong Kong Trade Development Council will present exhibitors specialising in clothing production.
Texworld aims to provide a platform that supports the development of clothing ranges offered in Europe by presenting almost 40 different exhibitors from this sector. Full-package, sub-contracting and co-contracting are in particular demand, with buyers searching to shorten the production chains. The manufacturers include: Alok Industries, Arun Eximp & Mfg and Banswara Syntex, all from India; ADM Artistic Denim Mills, Pakistan and Goldentex Wool, Egypt.
Texworld will take place at Paris Le Bourget from 8-11 February.
